What a blast! I reached out to Rebecca to schedule a private improv class as a team-building event for my real estate brokerage. We had a mix of experience levels and an even greater mix of anxiety-levels about doing improv. Rebecca planned the perfect event for us! Screenwriting for Film, Television, and the Web Class...It’s crazy, but this class has changed my life. Not just in the way that I write, but in the way that I listen, the way I communicate, the way I consume media now, the way I appreciate some media more and some media less now. It’s made me observe every day life a lot differently and I feel more “in-tune” with how connected everything and everyone is. More than anything though, this class has humbled me. It’s made me realize how inept I was at screenwriting. I’m not suddenly perfect at it by any means, but I’m a world and a half better than I was. It’s also made me realize how dangerous it is to be so obliviously ignorant OR how wasteful it is to listen to the advice of those who are just as unskilled. I feel 10,000 % more confident in my writing; (especially in my current screenplay), than I ever have about any body of writing I’ve ever written. I’m sad this class will be ending soon as every class has had so many eureka moments for me, but I’m incredibly excited for how much I’ve grown so far. 5 classes down and just 3 to go. Very much looking forward to my screenwriting future!

So much fun!! I wanted to escape reality and thought “what is that I can do?” I began researching things to do and decided that- going to the moon would be too expensive. I came across “FREE ACTING CLASS.” Oh wow, that’s what I want to do—hello to CREATIVE VEINS and there I was taking my free class and anxiously waiting to enrolled into 4 weeks of Intro to Acting. These classes help me to be able to express myself in more ways that I ever thought I could (Meisner technique). My acting instructor Rebecca was outstanding to say the least; she takes her time and goes over all material to help students have a better understanding of this art. The other classmates and Rebecca never made me feel awkward about making mistakes i.e forgetting lines, standing in the wrong spot, or asking too many questions. That increased my comfort level, and I made a decision to continue taking acting classes and see how far I will be able to go. Lastly, Creative Veins will help you down the path of success after completing the courses; by offering advice concerning websites, head shots, and acting resume writing. If you or someone you know is interested the in the art of acting, please attend Creative Veins Performing Arts - you won’t be disappointed. Taking acting classes at Creative Veins has been a great experience so far! I finished the Intro to Acting class and have started the Level 2 course. The instructors are experienced professionals and are very knowledgeable about the craft. I loved that Rebecca and Keary are passionate about students' individual success and about building up the Jacksonville acting and comedy scene as a whole. Unlike other studios and instructors that I came across when looking to take acting classes, Creative Veins isn't just out there to make a profit off their students. I had previously taken a few classes at Creative Veins and I was so excited to hear they were offering a screenwriting course. I appreciated the intimate style of the screenwriting class. Erle was very accessible as an instructor. He has a special skill for guiding you through any blocks you may be having. We were provided with so many different tools and methods. I am confident that no matter your style or method of writing, you will have something to add to your toolbox after every class. I would have liked to see this as a six week session. I found a few places in town that "taught" acting classes, but the people who were teaching them weren't actual actors. In fact, some of them had zero acting experience whatsoever. I got the chance to work with Keary McCutchen as an actor on one of his film projects. I didn't have much experience going in so I leaned on his advice during filming and in between takes. Keary was exceptionally patient and willing to share anything he knew that could help me get better. Even while acting and directing he took the time to teach me. I even hung around when I didn't need to be there because the experience was so valuable. I'd work with and learn from Keary again in a second.
